Carlo Ancelotti sho.cks the Real Madrid trio with this statement, and the reason is Cristiano and Benzema

Carlo Ancelotti, the Italian coach at the helm of Real Madrid, made a surprising remark about his team’s attacking lineup following their victory in the 2024 European Super Cup, hinting at the influence of past stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

In a match that saw Real Madrid triumph over Italian side Atalanta, thanks to goals from Valverde and Kylian Mbappe, the team secured its sixth European Super Cup title, surpassing Barcelona and AC Milan, who each have five. This victory follows their 2023/2024 Champions League win, where they defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0, marking their fifteenth European championship.

During the post-match press conference, Ancelotti humorously commented, “Facing Atalanta feels like going to the dentist (laughs),” and highlighted Mbappe’s performance, noting his significant skill.

Ancelotti reflected on the team’s current roster, saying, “It’s difficult to compare this squad to the 2014 team, which boasted an incredible attack with Bale, Benzema, and Ronaldo.”

He also praised the new midfielders for their defensive efforts in what was a challenging match, adding that the first half was tough but the midfield trio performed exceptionally well in defense. When asked about Camavinga’s absence, Ancelotti confirmed that the player was initially set to start but had to be sidelined due to injury.
