Manchester United is reportedly vying with Real Madrid to sign Sevilla’s promising young talent, Juanlu Sanchez, according to sources.
Following their recent acquisition of midfielder Manuel Ugarte, United is keen to add more emerging players to their roster. Sanchez, a 21-year-old who has already made close to 50 appearances for Sevilla, is the latest player to catch the club’s attention.
Initially playing as a right-back, Sanchez has transitioned into a midfield role under the guidance of Sevilla’s coach, Garcia Pimienta, showcasing his versatility. His current contract includes a £17 million release clause, attracting interest from both United and Real Madrid.
Sanchez played a key role for Spain’s Under-23 squad at the Olympics, contributing a vital goal in the semi-final against Morocco and helping the team secure a 5-3 victory over France to claim the gold medal.
With his contract running until June 2026, Sevilla could face a challenge in retaining Sanchez if he opts not to renew. Given his release clause, Manchester United might seize the opportunity to bring the talented Spaniard to Old Trafford.
