Kylian Mbappé's 2024 has been filled with challenges, as a series of lackluster performances have sparked doubts about his current form. Following Paris Saint-Germain’s exit in the UEFA Champions League semifinals to Borussia Dortmund, Mbappé also struggled during UEFA Euro 2024.
His woes didn’t end there, as France suffered a 3-1 defeat to Italy in the UEFA Nations League, raising concerns over whether the star forward has already reached his peak.
RMC Sport pundit Denis Charvet shared his thoughts, noting that the current Mbappé seems far from the player who once dazzled for both club and country.
"I don’t recognize him anymore,” Charvet commented on *Les Grandes Gueules du Sport* (via *Le10Sport*). “He seems absent, both on and off the field. I believe what he’s been through at PSG over the last couple of years has left a psychological scar. This isn't the Mbappé we used to know.”
Although Mbappé managed to score twice for Real Madrid against Real Betis before the international break, it remains to be seen whether this is a sign of his comeback or just a brief moment of success in an otherwise troubled season.
