Real Madrid is reportedly nearing the completion of another high-profile signing as they strengthen their already formidable squad. With key players such as Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr. already leading the charge, Real Madrid looks well-equipped for another strong campaign. However, their defense could receive a significant boost soon with a major addition.

According to *Diario AS*, Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid in January, with the Canadian star officially joining in the summer of 2025 for the 2025/26 season. Real Madrid had pursued Davies during the summer transfer window, but Bayern’s high asking price prevented the deal from going through. Now, the club appears poised to bring Davies into their ranks, adding depth and competition for current left-back Ferland Mendy.

Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has previously discussed the situation surrounding Davies' contract. In 2023, Eberl revealed to *Sport Bild* that Bayern had made substantial offers to retain the defender. He stated, "Negotiations have been ongoing for some time, but they stalled last summer. We made Alphonso a very clear and generous offer. Now it's up to him to make a decision."

Davies, who joined Bayern from the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018, has since achieved great success, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2020 and five Bundesliga titles. His potential move to Real Madrid will further solidify the Spanish club’s ambitions for continued dominance.
