According to reports from Spanish media, Real Madrid is gearing up to announce the signing of Alphonso Davies, Bayern Munich's standout left-back. The 23-year-old Canadian international, whose contract with Bayern runs until 2025, has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid for some time.
The Spanish outlet "AS" reveals that Real Madrid is targeting the next transfer window to finalize the deal, with Davies expected to join the squad next summer. Club president Florentino Pérez is reportedly determined to secure Davies, seeing him as the best left-back in the world and the ideal replacement to strengthen the team’s left side following Marcelo’s departure.
Although Bayern Munich initially rejected offers for Davies last summer, Real Madrid has remained persistent, confident in the player's desire to make the switch to the Bernabéu.
Davies, who played 42 matches for Bayern in the 2023-24 season, contributing 3 goals and 6 assists, originally joined the German club from Vancouver in January 2019 for a fee of 14 million euros.
